
Chang Beer forms partnership with other three major brands to spend more than 200 million baht to sponsor the “2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa” live broadcasts in June and July. The partnership also extends to a series of related activities with aimming to provide fun and excitement to Thai fans during the World Cup finals in South Africa this year. The other three major brands are Yamaha, the Unilever brand Clear Men and Coca-Cola.
On hand to attend the event to announce the sponsorship agreements hosted by RS, Thailand's World Cup broadcast rights holder, at The Imperial Queen’s Park Hotel included Mr. Charlie Jitcharoongphorn, Deputy Managing Director of Thai Beverage Marketing Co., Ltd.
The broadcasts will be handled locally by Strategic Media partners Channels 3 and 7; its media partners, Modernine TV, Thai Radio and Television Station; and location supporters, including CentralWorld and Siam Paragon. Sixty-four matches will be staged in South Africa between June 11 and July 11, with broadcasts at 6 pm,9 pm and 1 am.
During the World Cup, “Big Event” activities will be organized to add more fun to Thai viewers. The activities include 2010 FIFA World Cup @ 2010 Central World

During the tournament, big events will be organized to create fun along with the exciting football competition. These will be at CentralWorld and Siam Paragon and feature a cheering atmosphere for Thai fans watching games involving their favourite teams.
