What are the lines of business of the Thai Beverage Plc.?
ThaiBev comprises 63 affiliated companies in the Group. The main line of business is production and marketing alcoholic beverages. In addition, there are also companies that produce alcohol for industrial use, and other related businesses.
What are the products in the ThaiBev Group?
There are numerous of them, namely: Beer Chang, Beer Archa, Chang drinking water, Mekhong, SangSom, Mangkorn Thong, Sing Thong, Crown 99, Blue Eagle, Black Cat, VO, Wine Cooler Club, Bionic fertilizer, supplementary food for animals, low-density bricks, oak barrels, and Ethanol (ethyl alcohol) for the production of gasohol as well as for other industrial use.
Is it true that a ThaiBev affiliated company is the largest alcohol producer for gasohol production?
Thai Alcohol Public Company Limited, an affiliated company of ThaiBev, is indeed the largest producer of alcohol for industrial use in Thailand. It is a supplier of ethyl alcohol for all major oil companies, such as PTT, Bangchak, Shell, Caltex, and Esso to be further produced into gasohol, a substitute for fuel. This enables the public to save on fuel costs. It also contributes to enormous foreign exchange saving for the country.
How does ThaiBev support various kinds of sports?
ThaiBev fully supports sport activities in order to help develop Thai athletes and sportsmen to attain international standard. Various types of sports that ThaiBev has been giving supports are: football, volleyball, boxing, bicycling, snooker-billiard, swimming, athlete, table-tennis, tennis, gymnastic, tekuando, boat racing, and chess.
What are ThaiBev’s social contributions?
ThaiBev is determined to play a role in improving the living condition of the Thais. Activities such as distribution of blankets in the project “Chang Unites to Fight the Cold” have now entered its sixth year. It has distributed 1.2 million blankets in 2005. In addition, ThaiBev contributes for the cause of arts and culture, health care and education, conservation of wild elephants, as well as helping domesticated elephants. Moreover, when there occur national disasters, such as tsunami, or floods, ThaiBev has always been among the first organization to reach out and render assistance to those victims.
