
Federbrau, in association with MTV Thailand and Kiss Entertainment, kicks off the year of the tiger with Retro Live Concert project, showcasing the beautiful melody of retro music. Spearheading the creative music series is Kool & the Gang, one of the most influential funk groups of the 70s.
The Federbrau presents Kool & the Gang Live in Bangkok Concert is set to mesmerize Thai fans with the magic of disco funk music on Wednesday 17 March, 2010 at the Royal Paragon Hall, Siam Paragon shopping complex.
At the press conference to announce the concert, Mr. Charlie Jitcharoongphorn, Deputy Managing Director of ThaiBeverage Marketing Company Limited, the manufacturer of Federbrau said "It is truly an honour for Federbrau to be a part of this live concert by one of the world greatest names in disco funk music like Kool & the Gang. I am a great fan of theirs. It's not very often for us to be able to enjoy live music of this scale. As we all know, disco funk music is fashionable and fun by itself, the same as Federbrau, the brand that represents today and the unique fun experiences.

Formed in New Jersey in 1964, Kool & the Gang, featuring brothers Robert "Kool" Bell on bass and Ronald Bell on tenor saxophone, George Brown on drums, Robert Mickens on trumpet, Dennis Thomas on trumpet, Dennis Thomas on alto sax, Claydes Charles Smith on guitar, and Rick Westfield on keyboards.. The band enjoyed success throughout the '70s, starting with a jazz sound and mixing it with soul, R&B and deep funk, eventually honing down to a smooth pop-funk. Their all-time hits including Cherish, Celebration, Ladies Night, Get Down on it, Joanna, and Jungle Boogie are indicative of the band’s highly successful career, boasting 140 million record sales worldwide and hundreds of number one hits on charts across the globe.
