
Thai Beverage PLC (ThaiBev) joins force with Thai government sector, including the Ministry of Defence, Ministry of Commerce, Ministry of Transport, the Royal Thai Armed Forces Headquarters, the Royal Thai Army and the Royal Thai Air Force, to organize a musical show entitled “The Greatest of the Kings The Greetings of the Land” to commemorate HM the King's 82nd birthday this year. The event will be held from December 5-13, 2009, in the ground of the Dusit Palace (in front of the King Rama V statue).
The show also provides a platform for Thai people from all walks of life, to pay tribute to His Majesty the King, leading to national unity and reconciliation. The nine-day event includes a number of the King's compositions regarding promotion of reconciliation and patriotism, including a host of popular patriotic songs. Among highlights of the show include orchestral music performance under the baton of Mr Bundit Ungrangsee, a sought-after international conductor, and the D Vistual Light & Sound show themed “The Greatest of The Kings The Greetings of The Land" portraying the royal Activities carried out by His Majesty the King as well as the stories of Chitralada Palace.
There will also be a parade of illuminated cars every night as well as dancing-fountain displays in accompaniment of royally-composed music at nine spots and on the pedestrian islands along Ratchadamnoen Rd.
